LEONINE Studios picks up worldwide distribution rights to new SYFY series SURREALESTATE
LEONINE Studios has acquired worldwide distribution rights outside the USA and Canada to the hauntingly humorous SYFY series SURREALESTATE from production company Blue Ice Pictures. The show premieres on NBC SYFY (USA only) on July 16, 2021.
SURREALESTATE stars Tim Rozon (SCHITT’S CREEK, WYNONNA EARP), Sarah Levy (SCHITT’S CREEK, LARRY CROWNE), Adam Korson (SEED, LUCIFER), Maurice Dean Wint (THE KID DETECTIVE, MURDOCH MYSTERIES), Savannah Basley (WYNONNA EARP), and Tennille Read (WORKIN’ MOMS, SCHITT’S CREEK). The acclaimed writer George R. Olson served as creator, showrunner and executive producer on the series together with fellow executive producers Lance Samuels (GINNY & GEORGIA), Daniel Iron (GINNY & GEORGIA), Armand Leo (THE DETAIL), and Danishka Esterhazy (THE BANANA SPLITS MOVIE). Directors are Paul Fox (SCHITT’S CREEK), Paolo Barzman (WYONNA EARP), Danishka Esterhazy, and Melanie Scrofano (WYNONNA EARP), who also guest stars in one of the 10 episodes.
SURREALESTATE is a one-hour drama about a team of real estate specialists who investigate, discover and correct the - ahem - unconventional problems that make certain properties difficult to sell. They refer to these properties as “metaphysically engaged.” Most of us would call them haunted houses. What makes the team at The Roman Agency unique - and in demand - is their uncanny ability to investigate and explain the truly inexplicable… and find a solution. Solving the mystery, closing the portal, expelling the demon, putting the tortured soul to rest, those are all just the means to a greater end: A sale. After all, closure is nice - but closings are what The Roman Agency is all about.
